WINSTON SALEM, N.C. -- Josue X. Sauceda, 56, formerly of Defiance, died June 4, 2014, at his home after a lengthy battle with cancer.
He was born Nov. 29, 1957, in Defiance, the son of Teresa Hernandez. On Feb. 14, 1999, he married Cindy Levan, who survives. He was formerly employed by Nypro Carolina, in Burlington, N.C., for 21 years, and was a member of New Vision Baptist Worship Church, Clemmons, N.C.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy; daughters, Heather Sauceda, at home, Bobbie Jo Simpson, Flatlick, Ky., and Tonya Jo of Lubbock, Texas; sons, Joshua and Juan, of North Carolina, and Matthew, of Ohio; mother, Teresa Hernandez, of Defiance; brothers, Ovideo of Leipsic and Idelfonso; sisters, Velma (Robert) McClain, Cascade, Mont., Mary (John) Silva and Sami (Tom) Faykosh of Defiance. He had 13 grandchildren and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Leo Hernandez.
A memorial service is being held on Saturday, June 7, at 3 p.m. at the New Vision Baptist Worship Church, Clemmons, N.C.
