OAKWOOD -- Wilma D. Boroff, 96, of Oakwood, died at 2:55 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2014, at the Laurels of Defiance.
She was born November 25, 1917, in Oakwood, to the late Ross and Edna (Titler) Rau. On July 3, 1939, she married Loy E. Boroff, who died January 16, 1998.
Wilma is survived by two children, Tom Boroff and Janet Holbrooks, both of Oakwood; a daughter-in-law, Mary Alice Boroff of Van Wert; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold (Ada) Rau of Bluffton; and a sister-in-law, Louella Rau of Defiance.
She was preceded in death by a son, Dan Boroff; a daughter-in-law, Ila Boroff; and four brothers, LeRoy, Raymond, Kenneth and Donald Rau.
Wilma was a housekeeper. She was a member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Oakwood.
A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Oakwood, with Pastor Eric Dailey officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Chapel Cemetery, Oakwood. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Monday and an hour prior to service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
