TUCSON, Ariz. -- Jayden Noel Slaydon, aka Heidi Lynne Palczewski, 44, lost her battle with cancer on Thursday, April 17, 2014, at the home of her aunt, Johanna (Venglarcik) Buchman. She was surrounded by her mother, Sondra Adams; aunt Johanna; stepmother Sheila Palczewsk; and fiancé, William Barruzza.
Heidi Lynne Palczewski was born Friday, June 13, 1969, in Paulding, Ohio, the daughter of the late David Charles Slaydon and Sandra (Venglarcik) Adams.
From the age of 10, her family identified the great designer that was within her. She was always ahead of her time and even the current fashion. In high school she created designs that the fashion industry would produce years later. She moved to Tucson, changed her name to Jayden Noel Slaydon, and began designing handbags. Her logo was: "Handbags That Wear You" under the trademark of "JNOEL."
She is survived by her son, Spencer Allen Jacobs; mother, Sondra Adams of Tucson, Ariz.; brother, Joshua (Jamie Waltimire) Palczewski of Tucson, Ariz.; adoptive father, Robert (Sheila Behrens) Palczewski of Defiance, Ohio; stepsister, Alexa Behrens Hargerave (Lee) of Orlando, Fla.; grandmother, Ruby (Venglarcik) Tinker of Tucson, Ariz.; nieces, Erika Palczewski of Lima, Ohio, and Katherine Palczewski of Tucson, Ariz.; a great-nephew, Kaison Williams of Lima, Ohio; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father; brother, David Charles Palczewski (Slaydon); grandfather, Steve Venglarcik; stepgrandfather, Ray Tinker; and Uncle Don Buchman.
A memorial service will be held in at the home of Steven and Darlene Venglarcik of Petersburg, Michigan, on June 7, 2014, at 11 a.m., followed by a dinner, at 3221 Summerfield Road, Petersburg, Mich. Friends and family are invited to attend or stop by.
