LANTANA, Fla. -- Alan M. Lindsay, 48, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014, in Lantana, Fla.

Alan was born November 8, 1965, in Defiance, to William and Joyce (Schade) Lindsay. He was employed most of his life by Ravenna Machine and most recently was a Mac tool distributor. Alan was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Defiance. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed boating and fishing.

Surviving are his parents, Bill and Joyce Lindsay, Defiance; two daughters, who were his pride and joy, Alexandria of Bowling Green, Ohio, and Whitney, Defiance; his sister, Amy (Craig) Reid of Dayton, Ohio; three nephews; his former wife of 23 years, Shelly (Brinkman) Lindsay; and many dear aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 17, at 11 a.m. in St. John Lutheran Church, Defiance. Lakeside Memorial Chapel , Green Acres, Fla., was in charge of cremation and his ashes were scattered in the ocean by his cousin, Jimmy Greer of Florida.

Memorials are suggested to St. John Lutheran School, the humane society or a charity of the donor's choice.

Psalm 29:11 -- The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with Peace.
