McCLURE -- Joseph David Desgrange, 29, of McClure, Ohio, died April 25, 2014, in Sealy, Texas.
He was born October 20, 1984, in Napoleon, Ohio, to Charles and Cheryl (Hansen) Desgrange. He met Krystal Wells in 2007 and they were married on May 31, 2008.
Joe graduated in 2003 as a auto tech at Four County Career Center, Archbold, and in 2004, from Lincoln Tech, Indianapolis. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Hood, Killeen, Texas, and served two tours in Iraq. He worked at Sealy Truck and equipment Repair, Sealy, Texas, and was a member of 355 Nation Truck Club for GMC Canyons and Chevy Colorados. He loved fishing and eating bacon.
Joe is survived by his wife; parents; son, Nicolas David Desgrange; and stepson, Conner Wells; brother, Charles Desgrange, Jr.; sisters, Jacquelyn (Randy) Irwin, Fawn (Jake) Garvin, and Heather; grandparents, Rolland "Sonny" and LaVonne Desgrange; nephews, Colton and Christian; niece, Nicole; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Joe Belfy and Pearl Hansen; paternal great-grandparents, Vergia Gallagher and Inez Kiessling; uncles, Richard Desgrange, Rich Hansen, Dennis Belfy; and aunt, Angie Belfy.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2014, at the McClure American Legion, where military honors will be conducted by the McClure American Legion.
