HAMLER -- Doris L. Schwiebert, 87, of Hamler, Ohio, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Vancrest of Holgate, Ohio.
She was born July 16, 1926, in Auburn, Michigan, to the late John and Martha (Jammer) Dietlein. On November 19, 1949, she was married to Paul Schwiebert in Zion Lutheran Church, Bay City, Michigan.
Doris was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and making clothing and quilts at home and also helped sew quilts for the Filling Home of Mercy. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Hamler, where she helped teach Sunday school.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; children, Donald (Kathy) Schwiebert of Napoleon, Robert (Dianne) Schwiebert of Hamler and Lois (Terry) Breece of Hamler; grandchildren, Jason (Christina) Schwiebert, Jennifer (Josh) Sauceda, Amanda (George) Martinez, Kyle Schwiebert, Brad Breece, and Erin Breece; great grandchildren, Austin, Madilyn, Jazzilyn, Emiliana; brothers, Herbert (Elsie) Dietlein of KawKawlyn, Michigan, Earl (Gloria) Dietlein of Bay City, Michigan, and Irene Seafert of Bay City, Michigan.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Lorna Duponce; and brother, Arthur Dietlein.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at Hope Lutheran Church, Hamler. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon, and Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
