LAKE CITY, Mich. -- Jack A. Kelley, 59, of Lake City, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014, at his home.
He was born July 28, 1954, in Saginaw, to Craig and Elizabeth (Flowers) Kelley. Jack married the former Robin M. Hose, February 14, 2003.
He graduated from Lake City High School and after working for 33 years at General Motors, he retired and moved back to Lake City. Jack enjoyed fishing, Sponge Bob, WWE, music, camping and loved his two special girls, Lucy and Casey.
Jack is survived by his wife, Robin; and children, Elizabeth (Josh) Cox, Jennifer Giesige, Joseph (Amber Shortridge) Kelley and Amy (Brandon) Zachrich, all of Ohio, Grace (Johne) Mendez of Indiana, Jon Kelley of Ohio, Jeremy (Carrie) Hose and Jamie Eisenga of Lake City, Jennifer (Travis Fuzi) McElroy and Justin (Jessica Kanouse) Suggate of Cadillac and Jessica (Jeremy) Houser of Lake City; and 29 grandchildren.
He is also survived by siblings, Debi (Ed) Popielarz and Brenda (Fred) Lea of Saginaw, Brian Kelley of Lake City; stepsiblings, Joyce (Terry) Lewis of Montana, Jackie Cronkhite of Cadillac and Greg (Martha) Mathews of Oklahoma. Also surviving him are brothers-in-law, Rodney (Pauline) Hose of Lake City and Randy (Jan) Hose of Merritt; and mother-in-law, Jo Hose of Lake City.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Jacob Hose; stepmother, Mary Jane Kelley; son, Peter Kelley; grandmother, Vera Binder; and special companion, Laddie.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at the Young Funeral Home in Lake City, with Rev. Wayne VanDuinen officiating. Visitation will be today, April 29, 2014, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Lake City Cemetery
