Winona L. Coleman, 89, of Defiance, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014, at the CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center.

She was born on September 26, 1924, to Carl and Della (Edwards) Hahn in Defiance County. On March 17, 1945, she married Windell Coleman, and he passed away on August 31, 2013.

Winona was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Defiance. She loved flower gardening, playing piano and organ and taking care of her family. Winona was a loving mother and devoted wife.

Winona is survived by her daughter, Lynn (Ken) Maynard of Defiance; son, Allan (Zettia) Coleman of Defiance; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Edna Hahn of Defiance.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Windell; and a brother, Charles Hahn.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, with the funeral service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Donald L. Luhring officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.
