Paul Maurice Miller, 82, of Defiance, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, while under hospice care at Twin Rivers Care and Rehabilitation Center, Defiance, Ohio. Paul spent the prior three years at the Genesis Bryan Center.
He was born on August 8, 1931, to Wilmer and Gladys (Tallman) Miller in Fulton County, Ohio. On June 5, 1992, in Defiance, he married Sharon Imbrock.
Paul attended the Church of the Nazarene and later Bridgewater Community Church in Pioneer, Ohio. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Paul was a semi truck driver retiring in 1994. He raised and showed Angus cattle winning first place to the grand champion at the Louisville International Livestock Expo.
He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Sharon; children, Daniel (Karen) Miller, John Miller, Mary (David) Cook, Mark Miller, Matthew Miller, Lisa (Mike) Baxter and Ryan (Jen) Imbrock; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen VonDeylen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lawrence, Charles A., Burdette A., Glenn and Billy in infancy; and sisters, Annabelle Kretz and Mary Walter.
A memorial celebration will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at the Free Christian Church of God, Ohio 15 by Continental, with Rev. James Fry officiating. Military honors will be presented by VFW Post 3360 after the service.
