FAIRBURY, Ill. -- Olieta Bell Bouldrey, 94, of Fairbury, Illinois, and a former resident of Defiance, Ohio, passed away at 3:31 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury, Illinois.
She was born November 10, 1919, in Defiance, Ohio, the daughter of the late Otto and Louise Fientje Bumpus. Olieta was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School, Toledo, Ohio. She married Albert Silas Bouldrey on December 15, 1937, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on February 5, 1977. Olieta was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Fairbury, Illinois. She was a former member of the Bryan Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are one son, John (Mary Jane) Bouldrey of Liberty, Indiana; two daughters, Beverly (John) Enderli of Fairbury, Illinois, and Gail Bouldrey of Salem, Oregon; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Carl Bouldrey; one grandson; one brother; and nine sisters.
Visitation for Olieta Bell Bouldrey will be held Friday, April 4, 2014, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2014, in Evansport Cemetery, Evansport, Ohio, with Pastor Roger Blough officiating.
