NAPOLEON -- Shirley E. Winseman, 97, of Napoleon, died Friday, March 28, 2014, at Henry County Hospital.
She was born March 24, 1917, in Napoleon, to the late Charles and Golda (Stembel) Hoffman. On March 22, 1941, she married William H. Winseman, who preceded her in death on April 12, 1991. Shirley was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon. She worked as a secretary for VJ Snyder Credit Bureau, Detmer Law Office and Fetter Real Estate.
She is survived by her sons, William "Bill" Winseman, Robert Winseman and Frederick Winseman, all of Napoleon; a daughter, Margaret "Peg" Stephens, Springfield, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Marcella Hogrefe, Napoleon.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, William; brothers, Franklin M. "Huffy" Hoffman and Orrin C. "Peanuts" Hoffman; sister, Margaret Thomas Duke; and son-in-law, Peter Stephens.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon. Interment will follow at Riverview Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon, and Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
