Lora Louise Watkins, 98, of Defiance, Ohio, formerly of Hamler, Ohio, died Monday, March 24, 2014, at Twin Rivers Center, Defiance.

She was born February 1, 1916, in Marian Township, Hamler, to the late Albert and Ottine (Schwiebert) Prigge. On November 22, 1953, she married Ray "Cliff" Watkins at St. Stephen Church, Hamler, who preceded her in death in January, 1986.

Lora held many jobs over her 98 years, which included: The Charles Company of Napoleon, Hamler Post Office, Barheltz Grocery of Hamler, Hamler State Bank, Bishop Locker of Hamler, and also helped on the family farm. Lora was a faithful and former active member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Hamler, and was on the church's 100th anniversary committee. She was a member of the former Wide Awake Club, Legion Auxiliary Hamler Post 262, and was an election poll worker for over 20 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Lou Ann (Richard) Busch, Defiance; grandchildren, Scott Feehan and Bryan Feehan; four stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 10 great-stepgrandchildren; and four great-great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Margaret Bischoff and Lulu Arps; and a brother, Clarence Prigge.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 28, at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Hamler. Interment will follow at Hope-St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon, and Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
