Tonette 'Toni' Froelich

KENDALLVILLE, Ind.-- Tonette Louise "Toni" Froelich, 65, of Kendallville, died on Friday, March 7, 2014, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Ind.

Mrs. Froelich was born in Defiance, Ohio, on July 3, 1948, to the late Marion Edward Barton and Margaret Pauline (McKellipes) Barton. She married Dean Walter Froelich Sr. on Dec. 17, 1998, in Albion. Her family was very important to Toni and she loved all the good times spent creating memories with her children, and grandchildren and her brothers and sisters. Toni was a foster mother to many children for many years and she spent countless hours providing home health care to the elderly, and helping people in need. In her spare time, she loved reading and listening to bluegrass and gospel music. She was Kendallville's biggest Apple Festival fan and loved spending the entire weekend at the festival.

Survivors include her husband, Dean Froelich of Kendallville; daughters, Kimberly (Robert) Coesens of Wyoming, Mich., and Sarah (Jack) Lucero of Kendallville; son, Dean (Fran) Froelich Jr. of Auburn; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Metz and Margaret "Peggy" Wobbler, both of Defiance; and brothers, Robert "Robbie" Barton of Defiance and Greg (Sally) Barton of Napoleon, Ohio.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Edward, Michael, Gary and Keith Barton.

Visitation and funeral services will be Wednesday, March 12, at Hite Funeral Home, Kendallville. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m., with the funeral service at 6 p.m.
