TAVARES, Fla. -- Jack Reichel Washer, 78, Tavares, passed away on January 20, 2014, at home surrounded by his family
He was born in Rocky River, Ohio, on January 21, 1935, to Jack and Beaulah (Mack) Washer. On December 28, 1957, he married Janice Clemens in Defiance, Ohio. Jack spent most of his formative life in Defiance with his aunt, Fern Deardorf, and was a 1954 graduate of Defiance High School where he was very active in the choir and quartet.
Jack is survived by his loving wife, Janice; two daughters, Lisa, Tavares, Fla., and Lori and her husband, Joe Pivacco, Clermont, Fla.; a son, Donald, Longwood, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Kelly and Ryan Pivacco.
He was predeceased by a son, James; and his parents and aunt.
Jack was active in the Barber Shoppers Quartet, served in the U.S. Army from 1957-59 and will be buried at the Florida National Cemetery at Bushnell, Fla. A memorial service at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Clermont, Fla., was held on February 22, 2013.
