CAMDEN, Mich. -- Nancy Lee Manifold, 67, of Camden, Mich., passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014, at her residence.
She was born on June 13, 1946, to Alfred and Irene (Sierer) Justinger, in Paulding, Ohio. On September 6, 1974, she married Larry Manifold and he passed away on June 12, 2013.
Nancy worked at ITT Fulton Tubing until she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, around the mid 80's. She was fiercely independent and was always trying to do things on her own, despite the trouble MS caused her. When her family would visit, she was often found outside cleaning the windows, taking care of her six cats, or trying to weed the yard. She was also known to treasure hunt at the local consignment shops, antique malls, and discount stores. Nancy enjoyed feeding her wild birds, reading the newspapers, watching sports and game shows. The GreenBay Packers and Yankees were her favorite teams.
Nancy is survived by her sons, Todd (Faye) Martin of Edon, Ohio, Bill (Lori) Martin of Pittsford, Mich.; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Janadean Higley, Jerry (Linda) Justinger of Defiance, Ohio, Sue (Lowell) Shisler of Oakwood, Ohio, Mark Justinger of Paulding, Ohio, Denise (Robin) Trauterman of Antwerp, Ohio, and Jeff (Karen) Justinger of Hicksville, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Alfred in infancy, Don Justinger and Terry Justinger.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014, at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2014, at the funeral home, with Rev. Max Begley officiating. Burial will follow in Hedges Cemetery in Paulding County, Ohio.
