PAULDING -- Morris E. Brune, 80, Paulding, went to his eternal home on January 30, 2014, at 9:35 a.m. at Brookview Health Care, Defiance, Ohio, with his beloved son, Scott, by his side.
He was born November 13, 1933, in Paulding, Ohio, the son of Oltie and Cora (Snyder) Brune. On May 21, 1959, he married Marcia K. Ross, who survives. He was employed for 42 years by Lonelm Printing. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War and attended Paulding First Presbyterian Church. He loved working with stained glass and wood, carving birds, and building clocks and gun cabinets. He collected coins and arrowheads.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia Brune, Paulding; a son, Scott (Laura Buchman) Brune, Fort Wayne, Ind.; a brother, Allen (Mary) Brune, Decatur, Ind.; two granddaughters, Chelsea and Andrea Brune, Bloomington, Ind.; sister-in-laws, Eleanor Brune and Linda (fiancé, Bill Baxter) Reinhart, all of Paulding, and Martha Brune, Ashland, Ohio; and brother-in-law, Lanny Ross, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Richard, Paul, Henry "Hank" and Ervin Brune.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 4, at the First Presbyterian Church, with Rev. David Meriwether officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Paulding, with military graveside rites accorded by VFW Post 587. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, February 3, at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, and one hour prior to services at the church.
