NAPOLEON -- Lydia I. Coressel, 88, of Napoleon, died Friday, January 31, 2014, at the Lutheran Home of Napoleon.
She was born August 9, 1925, to the late George H. and Catherine (Behrman) Meyer. On April 27, 1947, she married Raymond Wesche, who passed away on November 7, 1971. She then married Nelson Coressel on November 11, 1972, who preceded her in death on August 19, 1995.
She was member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Napoleon. She was active in the church as a Eucharistic minister to the homebound, a Sacristan and member of the liturgy committee and the church choir. She worked at Wauseon Manufacturing Co. for 25 years, was secretary of the execution board of the IBEW for eight years and worked at Wauseon Chief Supermarket for one year.
She is survived by nieces, Lois (Harlan) Billow, Dorine (Alvin) Miller, Jeanette (Richard) Brandt and Mary Jane (Gary) Rebeau; nephews, Gary (Susan) Meyer, Robert (Suzanne) Tilse and Delmar Tilse; great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews and many other friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Raymond Wesche and Nelson Coressel; brother, Fred H. Meyer; and sister, Esther Tilse.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, at St. Augustine Church, Napoleon. Interment to follow at St. Augustine Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home of Napoleon.
