Roberta Cole, 53, of Defiance, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, in Ottawa. Death was due to diabetic complications.

She was born Oct. 1, 1960, in Defiance, the daughter of Mae (Relyea) and Burt Cole. She was a graduate of Defiance High School, followed by additional courses. Roberta (Bobby) was employed by Campbell Soup Company, in Napoleon, followed by a part-time position at the carry-out in Ayersville. She was raised a Catholic, attending St. John Catholic Church in Defiance. Bobby was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing.

Both parents are deceased.

She is survived by a brother, William L. Osborn of Defiance; and a nephew, Ronald L. Fessel Jr. of San Diego, Calif.

It was her request to be cremated. She preferred to be remembered as she lived.

Preferred memorials would be to the Diabetic Foundation. A special thank you to those Bobby lived around and spent time with during her final years living in Ottawa. May the Lord smile on you and bless you all. Thank you all for your prayers and concerns.
