Constance Gray

Constance M. Gray, 23, Defiance, died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, as the result of a traffic accident near Defiance.

She was born October 12, 1990, at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., to Doyle "Andy" and Jennifer (Deringer) Gray and they survive in West Minster. She was engaged to be married this summer to Lucas Carnahan, but he was also killed as a result of the traffic accident.

Other survivors include three sisters, Heather (boyfriend Matt Henry) West Minster, Tara (Paul) Busick, Lima, and her twin sister Jasmine (fiancé Tyler Wheeler) Gray, North Baltimore; three nephews, Ty, Joshua, Kaleb; maternal grandfather, Charles (Nancy) Deringer, Ada; and paternal stepmother, Blanche Gray, St. Petersburg, Fla.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Mary Lou Ward and Andy and Martha Gray.

Constance was a member of Westminster United Methodist Church, a 2009 graduate of Allen East High School, a senior at Defiance College, where she was a nursing major. She loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2014, at Armentrout Funeral Home, Waynesfield, with Pastor Dave Burkhart officiating. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday
