Lois M. Toth, 76, of Defiance, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at Mercy St. Vincent's Medical Center, Toledo.

She was born on September 30, 1937, to Adolf and Clara (Vosz) Hanke in Defiance County, Ohio. On July 30, 1965, Lois married Franklin Toth.

Lois was a life member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, where she was baptized and confirmed. She was a graduate of the Northeastern Local School Systems. Lois worked at Campbell Soup Company, retiring after 25+ years. She bowled in the Henry County Women's Bowling Leagues, was an avid reader, a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed traveling. She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends..

Lois is survived by her loving husband, Franklin; daughter, Marilyn (Michael) Shoup of Defiance; son, David (Robin Wilson) Toth of Ottawa; grandchildren, Christina (Shawn) Triplett of Montpelier, Joshua Toth of Bowling Green, Ryan Toth of Cincinnati, Michael Swagger of Columbus, Brandon Wilson of Ottawa, Haley Wilson of Napoleon, Cody Hunt of Ottawa; great-grandchildren, Alicia Jo, Mason D. and Dakota J. Baker of Montpelier, Noah Wilson of Napoleon, Ross and Lilly Wilson of Ottawa, Anthony and Silvia Swagger of Columbus.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Daniel Toth; and in-laws, Alex and Irene Toth.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 27, 2014, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Defiance County, with Rev. Robbie Ketcham officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2014, at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, and from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the church.
