Beatrice Fronk

Beatrice I. Fronk, 95, of Defiance, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2014, at her residence.

She was born on September 15, 1918, to Leroy and Margaret (Steel) Crampton in Defiance, Ohio. In 1937, she married Virgil Fronk, who preceded her in death in 1990.

Beatrice worked as a laborer for GM for 14 years, retiring in 1969. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Altar Society, UAW Local 211 Retirees, Defiance Senior Center.

Beatrice is survived by her daughters, Mary Lou (John) Mack of Defiance, and Janet (James) Sager of Deshler, Ohio; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Virgil Fronk; and a brother, Dale Crampton.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 13, 2014, from 4-8 p.m., with a vigil service at 7 p.m. at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio, and from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Defiance. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Father John Stites officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Defiance County.
