MARYSVILLE -- Dorothy M. "Maxine" Billingsley, 78, of Marysville, Ohio, passed away at 3:10 a.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at Select Special Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
She was born on March 22, 1935, to the late Matthew and Minta N. (Workman) Fagan in Findlay. She married Richard W. "Dick" Billingsley on June 3, 1955, and he preceded her in death on October 17, 2012.
Dorothy is survived by a son, Dennis (Kathy) Billingsley of Marysville, Ohio; brother, Virgil "Bud" Fagan Sr. of Findlay; sister, Glenna Collene Rodabaugh of Findlay; and grandchildren, Eric (Cassie), Jordan and Kyle Billingsley.
Dorothy was also preceded in death by a son, Douglas Billingsley; twin brother, Richard M. "Max" Fagan, Sr.; siblings, Vaynard, Harold and Matthew Edwin Fagan, Doris Spence and Freda Fagan.
Dorothy was a 1953 graduate of Findlay High School. She was a homemaker and worked at RCA. She enjoyed the comradery at Carriage Court Assisted Living. She will be remembered for always putting others first at her work as a volunteer at the city mission. She attended Bible Fellowship Church.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today, January 9, 2014, at Crates Funeral Home, Arlington, where funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2014. Visitation will be for two hours prior to the service from noon-2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Kellogg officiating. Burial will follow in Williamstown Cemetery, Madison Township, Hancock County.
