NAPOLEON -- Albert T. Wachtmann, 85, of Napoleon, Ohio, passed away January 6, 2014, at the University of Toledo Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio.

He was born on November 26, 1928, to Henry and Amelia (Rickenberg) Wachtmann. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Ann Schweinhagen on July 20, 1968, who preceded him in death on October 22, 1995.

Surviving are a brother, Henry (Marylin) Wachtmann of Napoleon; brother-in-law, Rupert (Rita) Schweinhagen; sister-in-law, Marian Hurst; sister-in-law, Almeda (Wachtmann) Panning of Napoleon, nieces, Carol (Gary) Bernath of Napoleon, Connie (Tom) Schackow of Defiance, Debra (Mike) Miller of Napoleon and Kathy (Tom) George of Wauseon; and nephew, Edwin (Lori) Wachtmann. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and two grand-nieces.

Preceding him in death were brothers, Eldor Wachtmann, Edwin Wachtmann and Arthur Wachtmann; sister, Clara Schwiebert; and brother-in-law, Lawrence "Chas" Hurst.

Albert worked for 41 years at SK Hand Tool Corp. in Defiance, Ohio. He was the financial secretary of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Napoleon Township. Albert also liked traveling with his wife Dorothy, fishing, bowling and playing Solo with friends.

Visitation for Albert will be on Friday, January 10, 2014, from 2-8 p.m. at Snyder-Wesche Funeral Home, 830 N. Scott St., Napoleon, Ohio. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Napoleon Township. Pastor Hays and Pastor Stoner will officiate.
