FINDLAY -- Ellen Kay Manley, 63, of Slidell, La. passed away at 12:07 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014 at Blanchard Valley Hospital. She was born on Aug. 5, 1950, to Felix and Alice (Freeman) Wisda in Bluffton. She married Thomas
Manley on April 17, 1976, and he survives.
Ellen is also survived by her mother, Alice (Freeman) Wisda of Findlay; sons, Robert (Rochelle) Manley of Findlay and Tom Manley of Middletown, Ohio; daughters: Jaylee Manley of Hamilton, New Zealand, Emily (Scott) Clark of Findlay, Laurie Manley of Slidell, La., Judy (Steve) Toeniskoetter of Columbus, Chris (Glen) Hoover of Rawson, Penny (Dwayne) Kolva, and Beth Alford both of Columbus; brother, Nick (Diane) Wisda of Nevada, Ohio; grandchildren, Julie, Erin, and Mark Toeniskoetter; Dustin and Alysha Norris; Chantel and Michael Hoover; Kathryn, Allison, and Timothy Kolva; Tyler, Gabrielle, and Lexi Manley; Christopher and Molly Alford; Sam Everett; Xander and Zach Manley; and Krystal, Allexandra, Zoe, Tori, and Haylee Clark; and by great-grandchildren: Ethan Norris; Kaiden Day; Logan Powers; Daniel Manley; and Kinleigh Southward. Ellen was preceded in death by her father, Felix Wisda.
Ellen was a graduate of Pandora Gilboa High School. She worked for and retired from Big Lots. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and St. Mary's Catholic Church. She collected butterflies, enjoyed sewing, and loved puzzles, the more complicated the better. She was a fantastic mother, wife and daughter and will be missed by everyone who met her.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014 at the funeral home with visitation one hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. Father Chris Bazar will be celebrant.
