HOAGLAND, Ind. -- Judith M. Carter Butler Staub, Hoagland, lost her battle with cancer on December 22, 2013.
She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on August 18, 1940, a daughter of Robert Butler and Martha Jane Carter Ray. Not only was her faith strong and her flower gardens a passion, but she also loved family, friends and most of all entertaining them.
She is survived in death by her husband, Gerald Staub of Hoagland; her daughter, Deborah Wilkerson (Mark) of Fort Wayne; her brother, James Carter of Bryant, Alabama; her half sister Georgienne Westrick (Donald) of Jewell, Ohio; her half brother, Roger Ray (Pat) of Defiance, Ohio; her half sister, Pat Ray of Defiance, Ohio; her half sister, Barb Kneisley (Dan) of Defiance, Ohio; her half brother, George Ray Jr. (Janice) of Defiance, Ohio; half brother, Kevin Ray (Linda) of Bryan, Ohio; her half brother, Michael Ray of Fremont; her half sister, Shirley Milliman (Dan) of Angola; and her half sister, Tamera Buckley (Scott) of Houston, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Diana Jane Butler Long; and brother, Jack L. Carter.
There will be a Celebration of Life service at 1 p.m. January 4, 2014, at Hope United Methodist Church, 6608 Hoagland Road, Hoagland, Indiana. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. January 4, 2014, at Hope United Methodist Church prior to the Celebration of Life Services. There will be a dinner immediately following the services and everyone is welcomed to come and share in the celebration.
