ARCHBOLD -- Clara I. Garza, 73, of Archbold, passed away Friday evening, December 27, 2013, in her home surrounded by her family.
She was born September 21, 1940, in Wauseon, the daughter of Emil and Ruth (Pursel) Miller, and married Frank Garza on June 11, 1960. A lifelong resident of the Archbold area, she worked at the former Montgomery Ward in Archbold and retired from Sauder Woodworking in 1999. She enjoyed painting, quilting, crocheting, gardening and traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Frank; four children, Andrew (Kelly) Garza of Pemberville, Frank Garza Jr. of Napoleon, Connie (Tony Hephner) Garza of Montpelier, and Anthony (Susan) Garza of Archbold; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty (Ben) Ashbaugh of West Unity.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandsons; and two brothers, Laverne and Dale Miller.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Short Funeral Home in Archbold with Pastor Peter Marcis officiating. Interment will follow in the Pettisville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Monday.
