MARYSVILLE -- Cathy Ellen Dice, 63, of Marysville, died Thursday evening, Dec. 19, 2013, at the James Cancer Hospital, following a brief illness.

She, with her husband Dennis, owned and operated United Financial Associates. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, served with the Ladies Aid Society and the Friendship Committee, and was a member of the Thursday morning and Sunday evening Bible studies. She was also a member of TWIG No. 6 at Memorial Hospital.

Cathy was a caring person who always put others' needs before her own, enjoying serving others. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved camping trips with her family. She was born August 1, 1950, in Van Wert to the late Harry Eugene and Marsha Louise Sherman Fisher. Cathy married Dennis W. Dice on January 7, 1979, at the St. John Lutheran Church in Defiance.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Fisher.

Cathy is survived by her husband of 34 years, Dennis; their children, Brian (Carrie) Kinner of Spencerville, Heather (Wayne) Dagenhart of Marysville, Julie (Kevin) Brand of Findlay, Tara Kinner of Marysville; seven grandchildren, Nico (Katie) Kinner, Logan, Carter and Noah Brand, Jack and Grace Dagenhart, and Caitlynn McCallister; a great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Kinner; two sisters, Connie Sloan of Wauseon, Brenda Harper of Nova; three brothers, Lester Raker of Winchester, Va., Jerry (Judy) Fisher of Van Wert, David (Mary) Fisher of Cecil; a sister-in-law, Judy Fisher of Paulding; and her black lab "Muffin."

The family will receive friends today from 2-5 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home, Marysville, and on Monday from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. at the St. John's Lutheran Church, Marysville. Rev. Jack Heino will officiate, with burial to follow at the church cemetery. Her casket bearers will be her grandsons.
