NAPOLEON -- Norma Dietrich, 72, of Napoleon, passed away unexpectedly at her home on December 8, 2013.
She was born on October 25, 1941, to Martin and Emma (Seeman) Hogrefe in Deshler, Ohio. On November 29, 1959, she married Ronald Dietrich.
She was employed at G.C. Murphy and later retired after 29 years at Chief Supermarket. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Freedom Township, where she was a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. Some of her hobbies included gardening, sewing and playing both the organ and piano. She also enjoyed cooking, traveling and raising chinchillas. Norma especially enjoyed attending her many grandkids' sporting events.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald, of Napoleon; sons, Doug (Sandy) Dietrich, Napoleon, Tim (Roxanne) Dietrich, Archbold, Tom (Shelly) Dietrich, Defiance, Mark (Cary) Dietrich, Napoleon; daughter, Marcia (Brad) Miller, Archbold; 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, Marty (Karen) Hogrefe, Napoleon, John Hogrefe, Jackson, Mich., Roger (Rhonda) Hogrefe, Bowling Green, Harvey (Nancy) Hogrefe, New Mexico, and Ray Hogrefe, Deshler; sisters Linda (John) Sharpe, Deshler, Marilyn (Terry) Baer, Deshler. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Hildegard Ludeman, Napoleon, and Loretta (Art) Koppenhofer, Defiance.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant twin sister; an infant brother, Tommy; in-laws, Carl and Lois Dietrich, Denelda Dietrich and Robert Ludeman.
Visitation for Norma will be held today, December 10, 2013, at the Snyder-Wesche Funeral Home, Napoleon, from 4-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. John Lutheran Church, Freedom Township, at 1:30 p.m. December 11, 2013, with Pastor Stephen Niermann officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
