NAPOLEON -- Margaret Anne Austermiller, 85, of Napoleon, Ohio, passed away December 1, 2013, in Olney, Maryland.

She was born July 10, 1928, in Henry County, Ohio, the daughter of Glenn S. and Grace M. (Bell) Carter. Margaret was an elementary school teacher. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, the church Women's Society, Napoleon Eastern Star, and a 50-year member of the Grange Gleaners. She received her B.S. degree in education from Bowling Green State University.

Surviving are one son, Michael (Jane) Austermiller, Napoleon, Ohio; four daughters, Grace Peterson, Toledo, Mary Beth Owens, Cincinnati, Susan (James) Bresee, Maryland, and Leanne (Manual) Olea, of California; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert (Lavonne) Carter, Virginia; and one sister, Rosemary (Paul) Pfau, New Bavaria, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Glenn Michael Austermiller.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2013, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Napoleon, Ohio, with Rev. Lindy Maurice-Saum officiating. Interment will be made in Hoy Cemetery, Harrison Township, Ohio. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, Ohio, on Friday, December 6, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
