WARREN, Ind. -- Alvin D. "Al" Hamman, 58, of Warren, Ind., passed away at midnight Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at his residence in Warren, Ind.
He was born Wednesday, June 22, 1955, in Defiance, Ohio. Al graduated from the Ayersville High School, Ayersville, Ohio. Al married Rhonda K. Driver on July 1, 1989, in Defiance, Ohio. He was the owner of the Vac Shop in Defiance, Ohio, and Rhonda's Boxworks. Al enjoyed horses, riding his motorcycle, going to church and spending time with his kids and grandkids. Al was a member of the Bluffton Church of Christ.
Survivors include his mother, Marjorie (Justice) Hamman, Defiance, Ohio; his wife, Rhonda (Driver) Hamman, Warren, Ind.; sons, Aric David of Defiance, Ohio, Andy R. (Heather S.) Dunno of Fort Wayne, Ind., James E. Dunno of Warren, Ind., and Casey Homer Dunno, Warren, Ind.; brothers, Floyd E. (Linda) Hamman, of Defiance, Ohio, Steve (Leotta) Anderson of Ohio City, Ohio, and Terry (Sherlene) Bowser, McComb, Ohio; and grandchildren, Machelle Hamman, Shane Leazier, Arion Hamman, Makayla Berry, Xander Dunno, Kiera Searles, Izaya Dunno, Zane Dunno, Addyson Dunno and Kalia Richardson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd A. "John" Hamman; a brother, Fred Hamman; and a sister, Marlene Babcock.
A memorial service to celebrate Al's life will be at Knight Bergman Civic Center, 132 S. Nancy Street, Warren, at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 14, 2013. A celebration of Al's life will follow at the Knight Bergman Civic Center.
