OKLAHOMA CITY, OK -- Susan "Sue" Marie Mullens, Oklahoma City, passed from this earth on November 27, 2013.

She was born to Letha (Ann) and the late J.H. Hood on January 21, 1955, in Detroit, Mich. Sue grew up in northwest Ohio and moved to Oklahoma in 1979. Sue was blessed with three boys and their growing families were her pride and joy. Sue was most happy just hanging with her family and loved spending time at the lake. Sue also loved her job as regional manager for Price Edwards Corporation, referring to them as her "second family." Sue's caring spirit has touched more lives than we will ever know and she will be sadly missed.

Sue is survived by her beloved fiancé, Tim Van Valkenburg; her mother, Letha (Ann) Hood; three sons, David (Melanie) Mullens, Don (Holly) Mullens and Dee Mullens (fiancé, Kylie Ford); six grandsons, David, Cale, Keeton, Christian, Elijah and Cole; and two granddaughters, Faith and Charisma, all of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by four sisters, Vicki (Tom) Steensma of Defiance, Ohio, Amy (Mike) Tressler of Bryan, Ohio, Lynn Zoch (Kevin) of Oklahoma City, Beth Webb (David) of Ney, Ohio; and three brothers, Raymond Hood of Taylor, Mich., Daniel Hood (Kelli) of Billings, Mont., and Richard Dean (Janet), Del City, Okla.; as well as many treasured nieces, nephews and very dear friends.

A memorial service will be held at Hillcrest Christian Church, 1501 SW 59th St., Oklahoma City, at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 5, 2013. (John 14:2 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?)
