DESHLER -- Raymond L. Behrman, 82, of Deshler, Ohio, died Friday, October 25, 2013, at Golden Living Center-Northcrest Nursing Home, Napoleon.
He was born July 2, 1931, in Deshler, Ohio, to the late Albert and Lorena (Schwiebert) Behrman. On October 23, 1954, he married Frances A. (Bostelman) Behrman, who survives. Ray worked as a manager for Koppenhofer Bros. and IMCO, Deshler, and retired as a mechanic at Dekalb Seed in 1994. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Napoleon Township, and former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Deshler, where he was on church council. He was a member of Deshler American Legion, Napoleon VFW, and Bavarian Club of Deshler. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He is also survived by children, Teresa (William) Jordan of Orlando, Fla., Brent (Jacki) Behrman of Canton, Mich., and Diana (Mark) Wachtman of Napoleon; grandchildren, Ross, Jill, Clay, and Lydia; siblings, Loretta Schroeder of Napoleon, Annetta (Edwin) Rosebrock of Napoleon, Robert Behrman of Napoleon, William (Marilyn) Behrman of Defiance, Delbert (Lorna) Behrman of Deshler, Danelda (Robert) Drewes of Custar, Darlene (Leonard) Rutter of Auburn, Ind., Marjorie Behnfeldt of Napoleon, Herbert (Lynn) Behrman of Hamler, and Karen Rabe of Phoenix, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Behrman; brothers-in-law, Fred Schroeder and Paul Rabe; and sisters-in-law, Joyce and Marcia Behrman.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 30, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Napoleon Township. Interment will follow at the church cemetery, where military honors will be accorded. Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 2-8 p.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon, and Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
