NAPOLEON -- Les "Butch" Parker, 63, of Napoleon, Ohio, died Sunday, October 20, 2013, at Metro Health Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio.
He was born May 8, 1950, in Mondamin, Iowa, to the late Evelyn and Merle L. Parker, Sr. On December 1, 1973, he married Debera (Simpson) Parker in Anaheim, Calif. Butch was a truck driver for Saro Trucking, Perrysburg for several years. He was a member of Napoleon Church of the Nazarene. He was always known for a good joke and adopted many of the neighborhood kids as his own.
He is survived by his wife, Deb; children, Ryan Parker of Anaheim, Calif., Jason Parker of Napoleon, and Kelly Parker of Napoleon; grandchildren, Parker and Mikey Benton, Audrey Parker, and "adopted" grandchildren, Megan and JJ Ledyard.
He was also preceded in death by sisters, Patricia Nadaeu and Kay Harkey.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m., with visitation from 12:30 p.m. till the time of service at Crossroads Church, across the street from Holiday Inn. Handling arrangements is Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon.
