WAUSEON -- Donna Mae Leininger, 82, of Wauseon, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 28, 2013, in her home. Prior to her retirement she had been a lifelong homemaker.
Mrs. Leininger was born on October 7, 1930, in Napoleon, Ohio, the daughter of the late William and the late Frances (Dietrich) Betson. On January 1, 1950, she married Paul Leininger and he preceded her in death in September 2010. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Wauseon. Mrs. Leininger also enjoyed camping and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Ken (Deb) Leininger, Cindy (Mike) Wallischeck, Rick (Lori) Leininger and Julie (Ron) Shehorn, all of Wauseon; grandchildren, Cara Leininger Augustyniak, Gregg (Autumn) Leininger, Mark (Alexse) Wallischeck, Jordon (Jackie) Wallischeck, Stacie (Chris) Kessler, Sarah (Kyle Baker) Leininger and Karlee and Kyle Shehorn; great-grandchildren, Avah, Norah, Lylah, Meah Wallischeck, Lane and Zoey Wallischeck, Taylor Fulton, Austin Kessler and August Jennings. Also surviving are sisters, Joyce Tremain of Avon Lake, Ohio, and Janet (Larry) Weirich of Liberty Center, Ohio.
Mrs. Leininger was preceded in death by brothers, Leroy and Edward; and sister, Judith Betson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday October 2, 2013, with Rev. Jen Herrmann and Rev. Keith Hunsinger officiating. Interment will follow in the Pettisville Cemetery. Friends may call at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon today from 2-8 p.m.
