CONTINENTAL -- Delbert A. "Al" Desgrange, 80, of Continental, died at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born June 25, 1933, in Miller City, to the late Frank W. and Florence Ellen (Sigler) Desgrange. On September 20, 1952, he married Mildred Coble, who survives in Continental.
He is also survived by a daughter, Debra (Gary) Hunt of Defiance; two grandchildren, Kelly (BJ) Moss and Todd (Ericha) Hunt, both of Continental; three great-grandchildren, Zachary, Mackenzie and Gaven; a brother, Bernard (Sue) Desgrange of Columbus Grove; and a sister, Karen Henry of Ottawa.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Clifford and Olen.
Delbert was a machinist. He retired from SK Tools in 1995. He also owned Desgrange Trenching. He enjoyed camping and traveling.
A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2013, at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental, with Rev. Terry Porter officiating. Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Continental. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
