ANTWERP -- Richard Ray Dunderman, 82, of Antwerp, passed away Friday, August 23, 2013.
Dick was born in Antwerp on July 21, 1931, a son of the late Raymond and Bessie (Donat) Dunderman. Dick will be remembered most as Antwerp's police chief. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Antwerp VFW Post 5087. On March 3, 1950, Dick married Ottie Murphy, who died Oct. 30, 2007.
He will be sadly missed by his children, Jackie (Sandy) Doctor of Antwerp, Richard (Gloria) of Mechanicsville, Md., and David (Chris) of Bryan; brothers, Larry and Harry Joe, both of Antwerp; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was also preceded in death by his children, Darla Considine and Donald; granddaughter, Sara Doctor; and sisters, Florence Smith and Janet Salisbury.
Viewing is Monday, from 5-8 p.m. at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp. Dick's service is Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at 10 a.m., with viewing one hour prior at Dooley Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery, with military honors.
