Mildred A. Miller-Fann, 96, of Defiance, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center, Defiance.
She was born Nov. 3, 1916, to Harry and Anna (Eichler) Fellers in Paulding, Ohio. Mildred was married to Joseph E. Miller in 1945, who passed away in 1998. On Dec. 13, 2007, she married Charles Fann, who survives.
She was a member of First Christian Church of Paulding, life member of VFW Post 3360 Auxiliary and DAV Auxiliary, Defiance. Mildred owned and operated Clip & Curl Beauty Shop in Defiance from 1962-1989, and also was a beautician in the state of Florida during the winter months. Mildred was a graduate of Paulding High School and Fredericks Beauty School. She enjoyed dancing, laughing and just being with family.
Mildred is survived by her loving spouse, Charles Fann of Defiance; son, Richard A. Frame of Fort Wayne, Ind.; sister, Maxine (John) Straka of Paulding, Ohio; stepdaughters, Barbara (Jeff) Schroeder of Grover Hill, Ohio, Debby Barrett of Defiance, Anita (Blaine) Young of Deer Park, Texas; stepsons, Calvin Fann of Weslaco, Texas, Christopher (Suzanna) Fann of Weslaco, Texas; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, 14 stepgrandchildren and 11 great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph E. Miller; brothers, Beryl, Robert, Bernard and Donald Fellers; sisters, Thelma Igney, Frances Kramer, Betty Fellers; and one stepgranddaughter.
Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, from 5-8 p.m. at Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2023, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, with Chaplain Mona Sauder officiating. Entombment will take place in Riverview Memory Gardens Mausoleum., Defiance.
