LIBERTY CENTER -- Larry Gineman, 74, of Liberty Center, died peacefully on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at his residence. He was born February 19, 1939, in Liberty Center, to the late John and Grace (Anspach) Gineman. On August 4, 1961, he married Shirley (Koester) Gineman in Jasper, Michigan. Larry was a lifelong farmer. He also worked construction for Creager & Sons of Liberty Center for 19 years, dug graves for Young Cemetery for many years, and drove semi-truck for Davis Farm Services for over 36 years. He was a member of Liberty Chapel United Methodist Church, the Liberty Center Zoning Board and 4-H advisor for 10 years. He was an International tractor man and collected miniature tractors. He had a love for animals and will be greatly missed by his miniature donkey and pygmy goats.
He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley of Liberty Center; children, Kim (Jeff) Spiess and Kevin (Karen) Gineman, both of Napoleon;, grandchildren, Travis Gineman and Trent Gineman; great-granddaughter, Ellison Gineman; sisters, Joyce (Paul) Eichar of Cygnet and Marybeth McClure of Napoleon; and brother, Kenny (Diana) Gineman of Holgate.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 21, at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon. Entombment will follow at Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon.
