PAULDING -- Lois Edith Wyatt, 96, died at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at Country Inn Enhanced Living Center, Paulding.
She was born October 26, 1916, at Ravenwood Plantation, Nottoway County, Va., the daughter of John Edward Wistner and Myrtle Rose (DeCamp), who are deceased.
On February 23, 1935, she married Fred Wyatt, who died April 13, 2007. She was a homemaker, gardener, seamstress and farmer's wife in Grover Hill until moving to Country Inn in Paulding in 2005. Edith was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Grover Hill.
Surviving are a daughter, Clara Rose (Raymond) Hussey Defiance; seven grandchildren, Ricky Hussey, Robin Castillo and Rhonda (David) Casler, all of Defiance, Randi (Virgil) Hall of Ney, Ohio, Kendra (David) German of Van Wert, and Arron Wyatt and Denise Keehan of Lima; 16 great-grandchildren, three great-great-granddaughters and one great-great-grandson.
Also preceding him in death were a son, Dennis Ray Wyatt; a brother, Gerald R. "Gale" Wistner; four sisters, Gladys L. Scarbrough, Ethel M. Etter, Geneva B. Welch and Rosa A. "Nellie" Sanderson; five half brothers, Thomas, Oscar, Vernon, Clarence Wistner and Dewey Gillespie; and five half sisters, Pearl Tribolett, Bess Freshwater, Hazel Fortman, Rylma Marks and Esther Fish.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday August 17, 2013, at Middle Creek Cemetery, Washington Township, with Chaplain Ron Johnson.
Preferred memorials are to Community Health Professionals Hospice, Paulding.
