NEY -- Robert William Lambert, 76, of Ney, passed away quickly in the woods, doing what he enjoyed, Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at his home.
Robert retired from Johns Manville in 1999 after 43 years of service. He enjoyed farming, traveling, spending time with family and an occasional game of blackjack.
Bob loved watching his grandkids compete in their various sporting events and cheering for the Fairview Apaches, Bryan Golden Bears, Archbold Blue Streaks and Brunswick Blue Devils.
Robert W. Lambert was born on August 14, 1936, in Ney, the son of Albert and Dorothy (Welsh) Lambert. He married Mary Louis Shock on February 23, 1963, and she survives.
Survivors also include his children, Alicia (Brian) Laffin of Brunswick, Ohio, Bob (Stacy) Lambert of Ney, Russ (Dorothy) Lambert of Archbold, Corey (Dawn) Lambert of Bryan, Amanda (DJ) Curry of Ney and Anna (Tyson) Mock, Bryan; grandchildren, Mason, Gunner, Logan, Jorja, Julia and Cody Lambert, Brandon and Tyler Laffin, Damon Coressel and Dallas Curry, Megan Pena and Katie Mock, Taylor Lipp; two great-grandsons, Adrian Lipp and Brody Lambert; two sisters, Bonnie (Jerry) Murphy and Mary Lou (Roger) Demland, both of Defiance; many nieces and nephews and special friends, Dan and Jill Barnard, Bryan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Maddy Lambert.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Krill Funeral Home, Bryan.
Services will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home with Deacon Dennis C. Jackson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Cure Search, Make-A-Wish Foundation or an organization of the donor's choice.
