NEY -- Joseph Edward Nardone, 67, of Ney, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013, in the emergency room at Defiance Regional Hospital, Defiance.
Joseph was born July 12, 1946, in Winchester, Massachusetts, the son of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Crosby) Nardone. Joseph was employed by General Motors Foundry in Defiance for over 30 years, retiring in 2008. He enjoyed watching the New England Patriots and his 1957 Chevy.
Surviving are his two sons, Joe (Erica) Nardone of Bryan and Shannon (Alyssa) Nardone of Paulding, Ohio; seven grandchildren; seven sisters, Jackie (Mike) Moran of Continental, Ohio, Linda (fiancé, Richard McClaine) Cupp of Bryan, Ohio, Donna (John) Ouellett, Cheryl (Tim) Brusso, Kim (fiancé, Steve Mango) Mattil, Debbie Nardone and Gayle Polumbo, all residing in New England.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jane Tholander.
Funeral services for Joseph Edward Nardone will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013, in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan, with Pastor Fred Brandon officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date. Visitation for Joseph will begin Friday, July 19, 2013 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
