SWEA CITY, Iowa -- Adam Jay "Fed" Federspiel, 31, beloved son of Terri L. Helberg,
Defiance, and Terry Dean Federspiel, Glennie, Mich., passed away suddenly after
a long illness on Monday, June 17, 2013, in Swea City, Iowa.
He was born on Sept. 15, 1981, in Saginaw, Mich. He graduated from Fairview High School in 2000, and attended Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, Ohio.
He is survived by both parents; a brother, Cory A. (Nicki) Federspiel; nieces, Kaitlyn, Alyssa and Madison Federspiel; and two grandmothers, Betty Federspiel and Betty Martindale.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Andrew; two grandfathers, A.J. Martindale and Keith C. Federspiel; and an uncle, Tim Federspiel.
Adam loved his nieces very much and always enjoyed spending time with them when he was here. He also loved the outdoors, football, hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. Adam had been employed by Tenable Security in both Cleveland and Detroit, where he handled security for major events across the country. He later relocated to Iowa for employment there.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 671 S. Clinton St., Defiance, Ohio, next to Defiance Junior High School. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Memorials are suggested to be made to the family.
