PAYNE -- Charles "Bill" Copsey, 92, of Payne, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at his residence.
He was born in Payne on August 24, 1920, a son of the late Norma (Burkle) and Charles Copsey. Bill served in the U.S. Navy and worked at Panhandle Eastern Pipeline.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Betty; children, Morris (Terri) Copsey of Gravette, AR, Joan (Arvil) Sizemore of Vicksburg, MS, Lynn Copsey of Enfield, CT; stepdaughter, Pat Markham of Paulding; siblings, Gladys Utterback of Payne and Paul Copsey of Paulding; eight grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 17 great-great grandchildren; five step grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death are his first wife, Esther DeLaurelle; stepson, Roger Eagleson; brother, Pete; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Bills's service is at Payne Church of the Nazarene, 509 E. Orchard, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, with viewing one hour prior. Viewing is also Monday 4-8 p.m. at Dooley Funeral Home, Payne. He will be laid to rest at Wiltsie Cemetery.
