NAPOLEON -- Berna-dine Buchhop, 87, of Napoleon, Ohio, died peacefully on Friday, May 3, 2013 at her residence.

She was born on April 18, 1926 in Napoleon, Ohio, to the late Henry and Edna (Freytag) Baden. On June 2,

1946, she married Robert Buchhop at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Napoleon Township, who preceded her in death on August 22, 1999.

She worked side by side with her husband, Bob, on the family farm. She also worked as a guide and greeter at Sauder Village.

She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church Napoleon Township, where she was active in various organizations. She was a member of the local Low German Club. She played an active role in the Henry County 4-H Horse Club.

Bernadine was also loved deeply and survived by sons, Thomas (Kathleen) Buchhop of Colorado Springs, CO and James Buchhop of Napoleon; daughers-in-law, Sandy Buchhop (Randy Norden) of Ridgeville Corners and Diane Buchhop of Napoleon; grandchildren, Jena (Kevin) Barrows, Kyle (Sara) Buchhop, Justin (Jennifer) Buchhop, Keith (Candace) Buchhop, Jon (Tiffany) Buchhop, Jeremy Buchhop, Kimberly (Dustin) Bloom, and Kaelene Buchhop; great-grandchildren, Reid, Blane, Carson, Ryland, Kinley, Eliot, Cameron, Jack, Reise, Zak and Max; and brothers, Donald (Laura) Baden of Napoleon and Rolland (Marsha) Baden of Dahlonega, GA; and sisters, Margaret Cordes of Napoleon, Elaine (Ronald) Hesterman of Napoleon and Norma Jean (David) Pollack of Defiance.

She was also preceded in death by her son, William Buchhop; and brother, William Baden.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 6, 2013, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Napoleon Township with Pastors Franklin Hays and Dean Stoner officiating. Entombment will follow at Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon, and Monday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
