CANADOHTA, Pa. -- Helen (Judy) J. Furko, 70, of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and Canadohta Lake, Pa., passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013, in Pittsburgh.

She was lovingly known as "Gibby" to her family. Judy was born in Harwick, Pa., on December 22, 1942, to the late Presley and Veda Willard Graham. She graduated from Springdale High School in 1960. She spent her adult life living in the northwest Ohio communities of Liberty Center and Archbold where she worked for McCord Gasket and Sauder Woodworking. She enjoyed watching sports, reading and spending time with her family. Judy was an avid Steelers fan.

Judy is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Joseph Furko Jr.; daughter, Kimberly (Barkley) Loughran; son, Joseph (Brynne) Furko III; grandson, Joseph Thomas "JT" Furko IV; brother, Gary (Nancy) Graham; mother-in-law, Mary Furko; sister-in-law, Virginia Buehrer; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she is also preceded in death by a brother, William "Billy" Graham; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Loughran.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made to Family Hospice & Palliative Care of Pittsburgh or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Fund.

  • Joe Jr.--I'm not sure if you remember me, but I fondly remember you and Judy from your days in Archbold. My best memory of Judy is that ever-present beautiful smile.
