NAPOLEON -- Eugene L. Patton, 56, passed away March 2, 2013, at Northcrest Nursing Home in Napoleon, Ohio.
He worked at La Choy Food for 21 years, retiring in 1997. Eugene's sweet spirit kept him fighting his health issues for the last 18 years. His heart never strayed from his Liberty Center Tiger football team and he also loved his Buckeyes. He was a member of Sons of the American Legion.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 17 years, Robin; children, Michael, Davis and Susan Patton; parents, Courtney and Lavon Patton; brother, Courtney (Karen) Patton; sisters, Ronda (Bennie) Sprouse, Rita (Bill) Clark, Ruth Ann (Dan) Middleton and Robin (Ken) Carpenter; and grandchildren, Tala, Brystol and Xander.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Virgil Patton.
Visitation for Eugene will be Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Wright-Habegger Funeral Home, 302 E. Maple St., Liberty Center, Ohio, from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at noon at Liberty Chapel, corner of Henry County V and Township Road 9C, Liberty Center, where additional visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at noon.
