DELPHOS -- Mary O. Purdy, 92, Delphos, died at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at her granddaughter's home in St. Marys, Ohio.
She was born May 24, 1920, in Van Wert, Ohio, the daughter of Howard and Addie (Davis) Parks, who are deceased. On Nov. 25, 1942, she married Floyd D. Purdy, who passed on July 25, 1988. She was a member of the Delphos Wesleyan Church, Delphos, and a homemaker.
Surviving are three sons, Robert (Carol) Purdy of Holgate, Ohio, Harold "Bill" Purdy of Lima and Charles (Brenda) Purdy of St. Marys, Ohio; two daughters, Norma (William) Ladd of Cloverdale and Jeannette Burnett of Defiance; 24 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, 43 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-granddaughter.
Preceding her in death were her husband; her parents; two infant sons; one infant daughter; a son, Paul Purdy; and two sisters, Elizabeth Bell Miller and Jeannie Jerome.
Services will be on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Harter & Schier Funeral Home, Delphos. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m. Friday until time of services at the funeral home.
