PAULDING -- Margie A. Hill, 79, Paulding, died Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice.

She was born January 4, 1934, in Defiance, Ohio, the daughter of Wendell and Eva (Rhoades) Funkhouser. On June 8, 1952, she married Paul H. Hill, who survives. She was employed as Paulding Township clerk retiring in 2000. She was a member of Paulding United Methodist Church, John Paulding Historical Society and the Township Clerks Association. She was co-owner and operator of Hill's Carpet Service, Paulding.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Hill, Paulding; four daughters, Brenda (Jerry) Smith of Paulding, Terri (John) Coulon of Archbold, Kim (Ron) Garrity of Paulding, and Laurie Hill, Hamilton, Ind.; a brother, Phillip (Sue) Funkhouser, West Unity; a sister, Linda Donaldson, Haviland; 10 grandchildren, Bradley Hanenkratt, Lisa Stevens, Brion Hanenkratt, Victoria Gray, Jaclyn Colley, Christopher Britt, Samantha Colley, Brittany Barnes, Kelly Colley and Megan Garrity; and eight great-grandchildren, Zachary, Cyrah, Zander, Braylynn, Presley, Savannah, Kolton,and Jayde.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Wava J. Colley; and an infant brother.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, February 25, at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, with Rev. Ben Lowell officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Paulding. Visitation will be Sunday, February 24, from 2-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Monday at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding.
