MALINTA -- JoAnn Frederick, 75, of Malinta, Ohio, died Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center.

She was born January 20, 1938, in Bowling Green, Ohio, to the late Richard and Beatrice (Thomas) Taylor. She was raised with her twin brother, Eugene, in Defiance by her late foster parents, Fred and Lula Colwell. On June 5, 1955, she married James Frederick at Zion's Lutheran Church, Defiance. JoAnn was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Malinta. For many years she was a helping hand and worked with her husband.

She is survived by sons, James Frederick Jr. and Fred Frederick, both of Malinta; daughter, Shelby (Frank) Beck of Defiance; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Edward (Betty) Taylor, John (Martha) Taylor, Raymond (Sharon) Taylor, Eugene Taylor, Jerry Taylor, Paul (Denise) Taylor, and James (Janet) Taylor; sisters, Janet (Roy) Galiher and Sharon Wise.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Harvey, Norman and Richard Taylor Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Malinta. Interment will be held at a later date at Grelton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Friday at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon, and Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church.
