PAULDING -- Betty Louise (Grunden) Garver, 81, Paulding, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at the Gardens of Paulding, Paulding, Ohio.
She was born July 20, 1931, in Paulding County, the daughter of Walter and Bernice (Copsey) Casper. On July 21, 1947, she married Robert Ray Grunden, who preceded her in death on June 9, 1995. On November 9, 1998, she married Richard O. Garver, who survives. She was a member of Bryan Eagles 2233.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Garver, Bryan; two sons, Robert Grunden Jr. of Antwerp and Larry Shaffer, Millersburg, Ohio; four daughters, Betty Andrews of Oakwood, Darlene (Dan) Knapp of Latty, Ohio, Deborah Dougal of Paulding, and Kathy (Robert) Habern, Latty, Ohio; a sister, Marilyn (Dale) Taylor, Bryan; a brother, Robert (Lois) Casper, Napoleon; 16 grandchildren, a stepgrandchild, 24 great-grandchildren, two great-stepgrandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren and three great-great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband; brothers, Rollan Myers and John Casper; sister, Shirley Blair; stepdaughter, Dawnette Aldred; stepson, Ned Garver; two grandsons, Craig Allen Bauer and Kevin Shaffer; and great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Bauer.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 16, at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, with Rev. Ben Lowell officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Memory Gardens, Defiance. Visitation will be from 2:30-8 p.m. Friday, February 15, at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, and one hour prior to services on Saturday.
